What Are The Different Listing Field Types The User Can Create?

 

1. Text

This field will be displayed as a text box on the listing creation page. It allows users to enter a single line of text.

Example:

• Field Name: Listing Title
• Usage: Sellers can use this field to enter the title of their listing. For example, "Brand New iPhone 13 for Sale."

2. Multi line Text
This field will be displayed as a text area on the listing creation page. It allows users to enter multiple lines of text.
Example:

• Field Name: Full Description
• Usage: Sellers can use this field to provide a detailed description of their listing, including features, conditions, and any other relevant information. For example, "This iPhone 13 is in mint condition, has 128GB storage, and includes the original box and accessories."

3. Number

This field will be displayed as a number text box on the listing creation page. It restricts input to numerical values only.

Example:

• Field Name: Quantity
• Usage: Sellers can enter the Inventory. For example, "20."

4. Dropdown 

This field will be displayed as a drop-down on the listing creation page. Users can select one option from a predefined list.

Example:

• Field Name: Category
• Usage: Sellers can select the category that best describes their listing. Options might include "Electronics," "Furniture," "Clothing," etc.

Add Options: On clicking the add option, the system should allow the user to add any number of options for the drop-down field. A minimum of 2 option values is required.

5. Checkbox

This field will be displayed as checkboxes on the listing creation page. Users can select multiple options from a predefined list.

Example:

• Field Name: Available Colors
• Usage: Sellers can specify the colors available for the item. Options might include "Red," "Blue," "Green," etc.

Add Options: On clicking the add option, the system should allow the user to add any number of options for the checkbox field. A minimum of 1 option value is required.

6. Date

The date picker will be available for users on the listing creation page. It allows users to select a date from a calendar.

Example:

• Field Name: Availability Date 
• Usage: Sellers can specify when the item will be available. For example, "July 1, 2024."

7. Image

The image upload option will be available for users on the listing creation page. It allows users to upload images.

Example:

• Field Name: Product Image
• Usage: Sellers can upload an image of the item they are listing. For example, a photo of the iPhone 13.

8. File UploadThe upload option will be available for users on the listing creation page. The uploaded file will be displayed on the view listings page. On clicking the file, it will get downloaded to the system.
Example:

• Field Name: Rental Agreement
• Usage: When listing a long-term rental renter can upload the rental agreement.

9. Video

A video URL box will be available for users on the listing creation page. The uploaded video file will be displayed on the view listing page.

Example:

• Field Name: Product Demo Video
• Usage: Sellers can add a URL link to a video demonstrating the product. For example, a YouTube link showing the iPhone 13 in use.

10. Price

This field will be displayed as a price text box on the listing creation page. It will be considered an additional price field and will be included in the calculation along with the base price value.

Example:

• Field Name: Custom Price
• Usage: Sellers can enter a custom price for their item. For example, adding extra fees on top of their base fee for additional services like cleaning or room service.
