What Are User Preferences?

User preferences can be considered user settings that allow individuals to customize their experience on the platform to better suit their needs and preferences. 

These settings can be adjusted through user account settings or preferences sections and may differ depending on the platform or application. 
By providing these options, the platform can enhance user satisfaction, increase engagement, and create a more tailored user experience.

 
How To Set User Preferences?
  • Go to site -> Admin panel.
  • In the “User “, select “User Preference.”
 
  • In this, you can find some default settings. 
  • Change them according to your preferences.
  • The following are the preferences given
    • Name Display Type
    • Allowing all registered users, rather than just admins, to invite new users
    • Allowing only registered users to see listings and user profiles
    • Allowing only users verified by admins to post new listings
    • Allowing users to message each other freely

This option decides how your user name should be displayed throughout the marketplace website. You can set this by clicking the drop-down menu which includes

  1. Full Name (First and Last Name)
  2. First Name with Initial 
  3. First Name Only


    When Name Display Type Not Apply For User?

    The name display type will not apply for the user when they set their “Display Name” in their profile.
